The purpose of the scholarship is to support a student who is currently enrolled in an honours program in the School of Agriculture and Food Science at The University of Queensland and undertaking research related to the pig industry. The student needs to have previously completed an undergraduate degree with the School of Agriculture and Food Science at The University of Queensland.

  • Eligibility

    An applicant is eligible for the award of a scholarship in a year if, in that year, the applicant:
    (a) Is enrolled in an honours program in the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences at The University of Queensland.
    (b) Has previously completed an undergraduate degree with the School of Agriculture and Food Science at The University of Queensland.
    (c) Will undertake a research project related to the pig industry; and
    (d) Applies for the scholarship by the closing date for applications.

Established in 2003 as a memorial to Alex Hibberd, a past student of Gatton College, and funded by a gift from the estate of Mr Hibberd.
