Meet your mentors

Commencing LEAD scholars in 2022 will have access to mentors Kate Falconer and Andrew Fell for guidance and support throughout their program. Whether it’s to discuss first-year exams, how to cope with the transition between school and university or simply where to find the best coffee on campus – our mentors are there every step of the way.

As a young academic, Kate Falconer remembers Law School like it was yesterday. Now, as a Lecturer, Kate is an interesting, warm and accessible mentor to all – despite her discipline areas including the law of the dead and bodily disposal!

Andrew Fell profile photoAndrew Fell

Dr Andrew Fell is one of our younger academics at our Law School and teaches Trust & Equity units alongside Kate. You could say he’s also quite the expert on all things UQ, having studied both LLB and his PhD here.

In addition to two dedicated LEAD scholar mentors, students at UQ Law will also become familiar with our Law life & wellbeing coordinator, Dony Rodriguez. Having completed his own LLB straight out of high school, Dony found his passion in helping others on the journey of tertiary education and ensuring students make the most of all the opportunities it affords, whilst also prioritising their wellness and work/life balance.
