Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are a domestic student
- are enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine
- are a Year 2 - 4 student
- can provide documentary evidence of financial need (i.e. Centrelink statement, Tax Notice, etc.)
- are undertaking a placement at the Rockhampton Regional Clinical Unit for more than one year
- do not hold another scholarship that the Dean considers to be similar.

You'll need to provide a personal statement (of no more than 250 words) outlining your interest in pursuing a career in rural medicine.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- evidence of financial need
- strength of your personal statement showing an interest in pursuing a career in rural medicine.
If there are two applicants of equal merit, preference will be given to the applicant who has demonstrated the greatest financial need.
About this scholarship
Established in 2022 from the Executive Dean’s Emerging Priority’s Fund to provide financial support to students undertaking studies at the Rockhampton Regional Clinical Unit
