About this scholarship
This scholarship was created in memory of Dr Jian Zhou to support higher degree by research (HDR) students in the area of health and medicine.
Eligibility
You are eligible if you are applying for entry into the PhD program in the area of health and medicine and are successful in receiving a base stipend scholarship to undertake a Higher Degree by Research.
How to apply
You will be considered for this scholarship when you apply for a higher degree by research program at UQ in the international scholarship round (for commencement from RQ4 (October), 2026).
Selection criteria
Your application will be ranked on the basis of
- Academic Achievement and the potential of scholastic success
- Any other matters the selection committee considers to be relevant to the applicant’s future research development.
Rules
This is a philanthropic HDR top up scholarship and adheres to the terms and conditions outlined in the Schedule A Postgraduate Research Scholarships.
All philanthropic scholarship recipients must follow the conditions of UQ Research Scholarships terms and conditions
Holders of these philanthropic scholarships must acknowledge them in any paper that is published as a result of the research conducted while the recipient held the scholarship.
Donors may also invite the recipient to present on the work conducted as part of the scholarship, in which case they must comply or risk losing the scholarship.
